The Petition for Graduate Readmission is used by Graduate Study for students who were previously admitted to a Master's degree program or Graduate Certificate and enrolled for courses, but have not taken a course at Oakland University within the last two years.
Readmission to a program is not automatic. Deadlines for admission into a given semester may also apply for readmission and additional materials may be required. The catalog current at the time a student is readmitted will govern program requirements, policies, and procedures.
Regulations governing graduate programs require that all credit applied toward a master's degree must be earned within six (6) calendar years of the awarding of the degree; All credit applied toward a graduate certificate program must be earned within three (3) calendar years of the awarding of the graduate certificate.
A petition must be approved
to the beginning of an academic term in order for the readmission to be effective.
